  9.           DATE - Set or display the system date.
  10.  
  11.      SYNOPSIS
  12.           DATE Date Time TO=VER/k

  14.      DESCRIPTION
  15.           Date is used to set the systems idea of the current date and
  16.           time, or to display the systems idea of the current date and
  17.           time.
  18.  
  19.           To display the current system time simply use Date with no
  20.           arguments.  You may specify a TO or verification file to
  21.           send the date to, if no TO file is specified, the date is
  22.           displayed in the current window.
  23.  
  24.           To set the time you use the format HH:MM:SS where H stands
  25.           for hours, M stands for minutes, and S stands for seconds.
  26.       Leading zeroes are optional.
  27.  
  28.           Both the display of the date and the setting of the date are
  29.           determined by the ARP environment variable 'dateformat'.
  30.           This determines one of several international formats for
  31.           displaying and setting the date.  If 'dateformat' is not set
  32.           or if its value is zero, the AmigaDOS format is used.  Here
  33.           is a list of the legal values for dateformat, and the
  34.           corresponding input and output formats:

  36.           0    This is the default AmigaDOS format, DD-MMM-YY is used
  37.                for both input and output.  Note that if datetime is
  38.                undefined, or the value is illegal, this will be the
  39.                default option.

  41.           1    International format, YY-MM-DD is the format.
  42.  
  43.           2    USA format, MM-DD-YY is the format.
  44.  
  45.           3    Canadian format, DD-MM-YY is the format.
  46.  
  47.           Note that dateformat controls the format for the input
  48.           string as well as the output display.  You never have to
  49.           enter leading zeros, and you may always use words like
  50.           SATURDAY, YESTERDAY, TOMORROW, etc.
